I love Sangria, so my quest to find the perfect combination of flavors in my Semi-Sweet Red Wine Sangria has been a long one. But at the end of every good quest is a delicious reward.
My friend Leah, over at Farmwife Drinks, makes one of my all-time favorite Olive Garden Berry Sangria. But I’m a firm believer in that you can never have too many versions of a recipe.
I’m all about ease and also don’t keep a completely stocked liquor cabinet like my Leah, which is why I like to go hang out at her house!
Semi-Sweet Red Wine Sangria
This sangria is a little more on the citrus side. I have a serious love affair with Triple Sec and Lemonicello so those were a must for me. I’m also a serious sugar addict so I definitely wanted this on the sweeter side and the addition of some simple syrup did just the trick.
Sangria really needs that fruit component for me, not just the flavors of fruit but actually fruit floating in it makes it fun. And then I also feel like it’s healthy, because fruit!
