Let’s have a simple Memorial Day Get Together With Friends! One of my favorite things to do is host a get together where my guests don’t have to bring anything! I’ve found the key is don’t over do it – don’t invite a million people, keep it small and keep the menu simple!
Make it special but simple! And hang on to the decor and special items because they will come in handy for treating someone to your 4th of July get together! I’m an Amazon junkie but the Dollar Store is also great place for fun touches!
I love straws and all the cute paper straws always grab my attention!
So here is my full menu for a fun, easy Memorial Day Get Together!
Grilled Cheeseburgers
Let’s start with some grilling…….I normally am all about one meat, but pork burgers and beef burgers both can be pattied out ahead of time and grilled at the same time and the toppings work for both!
Grilled Pork Burgers
Dill Potato Salad
Next up some potato salad – this is my take and if I do say so myself it’s delicious! Of course other people like it as well, I promise!
Marinated Fruit Salad
We should have some fruit so that we don’t feel guilty eating dessert! I’m digging this fruit salad from my friend Sarah over at Farmwife Crafts!
MiMi’s Lemonade
Let’s wash it down with my favorite lemonade!
Roselyn Brownies
Now for my favorite part – DESSERT! These brownies are to die for and can be made the day before!
Red, White and Blue Jello Finger Stars
And somewhere in there you have to add a festive treat! These are super fun and easy, both kids and adults will love them!
