I love that 3 ingredients can get me Homemade Whipped Cream in just a few minutes! Whipped cream is good on so many things and is super simple to make.
I do not have 300 words to say about whipped cream! Does anybody really? I feel like I’m in high school writing a paper with a word minimum requirement…..so!

Homemade Whipped Cream
Cold is key here! Not that you can’t make whipped cream if you don’t put your bowl in the freezer or refrigerator first but it helps! The process of whisking, by hand or mixer, creates heat so using cold cold cream and cold cold tools keeps the product at optimum temperature.
Recipe Notes:
- Use a metal bowl and put both the bowl and the whisk, either hand or mixer attachment into the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
- The recipe calls for 2-4 Tablespoons of powdered sugar – how much powdered sugar you choose to use will determine how sweet your whipped cream will be.

Homemade Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2-4 Tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Start by placing a metal bowl and either a hand whisk or your mixer whisk attachment into the freezer or refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
- Add whipping cream to bowl and start mixer - add 1 Tablespoon of powdered sugar at a time while mixer is running - I love sweet whipped cream so I'm all in at 4 Tablespoons - but feel free to add less if you want.
- Add in vanilla and continue to whisk until mixture thickens and you have medium soft peaks! 3-4 minutes approximately from start to finish.
- Store in the refrigerator or eat immediately.
