Guys, this might sound simple and it is, but a Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly makes me smile. It’s nothing fancy, it is just what the name says, a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
My Mom used to make these for us when we were kids and this sandwich still makes me feel like a kid. I love a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich any time but when it’s all warm and melty and the bread is toasty it’s like a hug.
Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly
These are super simple to make! You make a standard peanut butter and jelly sandwich, butter both sides of the sandwich and toast it! Sometimes it’s not so much the “recipe” as the idea!
A little trick to use on this grilled sandwich and on my grilled cheese is to cover the sandwiches as they are toasting. This holds the heat in so that the insides of the sandwiches get warm and gooey without over-browning the bread.
Eat this sandwich with Lay’s potato chips! All that melty peanut butter and jelly that sneaks out of your sandwich is so good on those salty chips! Add a couple of carrot sticks, a cold glass of milk and you have a well-balanced meal that is easy!
