Gluten-Free One Bowl Brownies are every bit the chocolaty fix you’ve been looking for, even if you aren’t gluten-free! These are rich, delicious and made with oat flour.
I have made these using oat flour that I processed myself from oats. I love to use an electric coffee bean or spice grinder because it grinds super fine. I will add that while it grinds finer than a food processor, it still isn’t as fine as the oat flour you can buy. I usually put it through a fine sifter if I grind it myself.
Gluten-Free One Bowl Brownies
Tips:
- Brownies cut better when they are cool BUT if you are like me and can’t wait use a plastic knife! It works like magic!
- Don’t have baking chocolate squares, don’t panic! You can make it with cocoa powder and butter, shortening or margarine!
3 level tablespoons unsweetened cocoa and 1 tablespoon butter, margarine or shortening for every 1-ounce unsweetened baking chocolate
I don’t require a gluten-free diet but these are delicious. I love anything with oats so I did not hesitate to try them! I was surprised that you could not taste a difference between these and one bowl brownies made with wheat flour.

What a lovely simple recipe and great to see you’ve made your own oat flour too. Possibly best to point out that they would have to be certified gluten free oats to be safe for Coeliacs/Celiacs but I’m going to give this a go myself and make my own gluten free oat flour now so I can make these brownies.
