Candied pecans are my jam. I could eat them by the handfuls till my stomach hurt and then ear more. They are addictive. It started with Cinnamon Candied Pecans and I just keep building on that recipe with different spices.
Gingerbread Candied Pecans
I honestly can’t believe how easy candied pecans are to make. Literally, the most intense thing is whisking the egg whites to a foamy and frothy consistency. And I’ll share a secret, use a battery-powered frother! So easy and so fast.
This recipe calls for Gingerbread Spice, which you can buy but is super easy to make. This is my homemade gingerbread spice mix recipe that I love to keep around during the holiday season and is simple to make.
Recipe Tips:
- This recipe is easily doubled and makes a great homemade gift.
- Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh all season long.
- I won’t lie these are coated in sugar, a lot of sugar. If you were inclined you could cut the sugar back a bit, but I’ll be honest the sugar is good!
- These need stirred every 15 minutes while in the oven, believe me, it’s worth it!
- Not a pecan fan? Try mixed nuts or cashews or walnuts!
