Energy bite recipes are all the rage right now, so of course, I jumped on the bandwagon! This is my Easy No-Bake Energy Bites Base recipe that you can customize to your tastes!
The other day I might have posted on Facebook:
“I’m either going to have to eat more or kill somebody…….. I’ve been #hangry for days. Can a middle class white woman starve to death?”
So I started poking around the kitchen and decided to try my hand at these! I went to my jars of goodness, as I like to call them, for some add-ins!
These jars sit on my Hoosier Kitchen and come in handy for mix-ins for recipes like this! I use them in my crunchy granola and my overnight oatmeal! So many yummy things to choose from – caramel chips, mini-marshmallows, chocolate chips, various nuts, sunflower seeds, mini M&M’s, peanut butter chips, mini Reese’s Pieces………..
I’m not sure how many people roll their energy bites in powdered sugar? However, being on the verge of possibly killing someone or starving to death and they were my energy bites and sugar was needed! There really isn’t enough to amount to anything but it gave them just a hint of that sweetness that I was craving!
For this batch I choose some mini chocolate chips and some dry roasted sunflower seeds…….oh my it was the perfect sweet and salty combination!!

They were a huge hit with the kids……..I asked the boy to take a bite for the picture and he could hardly stand to just hold it for a few seconds. One pic and it was in his mouth so fast just prayed the pic was good!
