Classic Cream Cheese Icing is a go to frosting for almost any sweet. It’s super easy to make with just 4 ingredients and a mixer!
I love cream cheese icing, like it’s a weakness for me.
Let’s be real, this basic cream cheese icing is roughly the same recipe on every website but what kind of recipe source would I be without my ode to this recipe. I like sweets, and topping off those sweet treats with this icing only sends them over the top.
So I’m sitting here trying to come up with 300 words to say about this frosting. Other than it’s really really really good, I’m struggling.
Another fun fact…..or observation really. Being a food blogger/photographer is always a challenge in and of itself. See all that powdered sugar scattered on the table……I put it there for effect! I can’t even believe not only did I do that on purpose but I’m admitting to it in the post!

So a couple of things, I love my Kitchen Aid but I have a cheap hand mixer I use for things like this icing! Well let’s be honest, my Kitchen Aid is usually still dirty from making the carrier for this icing!
Might I also suggest is licking the beaters.
It’s good for the soul!
