This is one of those recipes from my childhood, the one my Mom never measured ingredients for but just made! But hang tight with me, I measured just for you, so you can now make my Mom’s Sloppy Joes!
A pound of ground beef and a few staple ingredients from the pantry and the refrigerator and you have a tasty sandwich in a jiffy! Serve it up with some veggie sticks, potato chips or Kraft Mac and Cheese! Grab a cold glass of milk and it’s a full meal in no time.
Brown up the hamburger!
Grab your ingredients!
Throw them in the skillet – measure or don’t measure, it’s all up to you!
And an easy meal to fill all the tummies!
Mom’s Sloppy Joes
So if you’ve been here awhile and know me at all you know I’m not a meal planner! BUT this recipe is so simple to double or triple that it makes a perfect freezer meal. Allow to cool completely divide however you like and put in freezer bags.
Right now as I type this it sounds like such a great idea. You could make individual serving sizes in smaller freezer bags and larger amounts for families. I should really get on the freezer meal bus!
Another great easy meal similar to this but will shake it up a bit is my Cheesy Burger!
And if you’re looking for something similar but different try these Tavern Sandwiches from Farmwife Cooks!
