I love grilled cheeseburgers. I also think a really good grilled cheeseburger made at home is underrated and easier than people think!
With just a few minutes and the right ingredients, you will be known for your cheeseburgers far and wide!
Grilled Cheeseburgers
The secret to good grilled cheeseburgers is 4 things – the hamburger you choose, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Well and a grill, gas or charcoal – but honestly I have also fried these in a cast-iron skillet……….YUM!!!
People, the flavor is in the fat in meat! You don’t have to eat the fat but you need some fat in your meat to get really good quality tasting food! I like to use an 80/20 hamburger when I make these!
I tend to get 4 hamburgers from a pound of meat or in fancy words I make a quarter-pound burger! When forming the patty I also like to make a ball first and toss it back and forth between my hands as you might with a baseball. This packs the hamburger into a tighter ball, then I patty it out to the desired thickness! Sprinkle with the garlic and onion powder on both sides and pour on some Worcestershire sauce and allow to marinate at least 10 minutes before you grill!
